Panchajeera stands for the five drugs Jeera (Cuminum cyminum), Kalajaji (Nigella sativa), Ajamoda (Trachyspermum roxbhurgianum), Dhanyaka (Coriandrum sativum) and Satahwa (Anethum sowa) which represent the digestive and metabolism promoting action of the combination.
